Reports

Turn your figures into a PDF to download, or have it emailed on a schedule.

Reports turns your figures into a PDF to share. Download it once, or save it and have it emailed on a schedule. Every figure is counted from your ledger when the report runs.

Make a report

  1. Open Reports and choose New report. If you have no saved reports yet, this page opens straight away.
  2. Pick a template under Report.
  3. Choose the Business and the Months. The preview shows the report as it will print.
  4. Choose Download PDF to take it as it is, or Save or schedule… to keep it.

Months offers Last month, This month so far, Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Last 12 months, Year to date and Custom months. A custom range covers at most 36 months.

Filters and segments

Plan, Billed and Country appear when the business has more than one option to pick from.

Segment lists the saved segments of the chosen business. Save one with Save segment on a page such as Customers. Picking a segment replaces those three filters, and its filters are read each time the report runs, so a later change to the segment carries through. A report of All businesses cannot use a segment.

Schedules

In Save or schedule…, choose Schedule and set:

  • Send it: Every day, Every week (on the day you pick) or On the 1st of each month.
  • At and Timezone: 08:00 in your timezone unless you change them.

The report goes out as a PDF by email, counted on that day's data. A monthly Last month report always covers the month just closed. A new or changed schedule starts at its next slot, so nothing goes out when you save, and each day, week or month sends once.

Your saved reports are under Your reports, and only you see them. From there you can:

  • Open a report to change it.
  • Download its PDF.
  • Email me: send it to yourself now, without touching the schedule.
  • Pause or Resume it. Resuming does not send what was missed.
  • Delete it.

If you lose access to a business a report covers, the report pauses and you get an email saying why.

Extra recipients

Also send to takes up to 10 addresses besides your own. Only someone who is an owner or admin of every business in the report can add them. Anyone else's report goes to them alone, and so does a report whose creator later stops being an owner or admin of one of those businesses.

Each person gets their own email, so nobody sees who else it went to. Everyone reads it in your language.

Branding

Branding is part of the paid plan. Owners and admins set it per business in Settings › Businesses, under Edit and Report branding:

  • Accent colour: RevGlance blue, From the logo or Pick a colour.
  • Leave RevGlance out: no RevGlance mark or link on reports and their PDFs. Scheduled emails come in the business's name, and replies go to whoever scheduled them.

The owner's plan covers every member's reports of that business. A report of All businesses always keeps RevGlance's look, and so does every report once the owner's plan has ended.

After a trial or subscription ends

You can still preview reports and download their PDFs. Scheduled reports stop going out and Email me is refused, until you subscribe or the owner's license covers the business.
