Paddle
Connect Paddle Billing with an API key that can read transactions, adjustments, subscriptions and customers.
Connect
- In Paddle, open Developer tools › Authentication and create an API key. Paddle Billing only: Paddle Classic is not supported.
- Allow it to read transactions, adjustments, subscriptions and customers. Add
transaction.writeif you will send recovery emails. - Copy the key. A live key starts with
pdl_live_apikey_; a sandbox key works too and syncs from Paddle's sandbox. - Paste it under API key and choose Connect Paddle.

Add the webhook
- In RevGlance, open Settings › Sources, open the Paddle source's menu and choose Webhook. Copy the URL.
- In Paddle, open Developer tools › Notifications and add a destination with that URL. Select the transaction, adjustment and subscription events.
- Copy the destination's secret key, paste it under Signing secret in RevGlance and save.
What RevGlance syncs
- Transactions that are paid or completed, with their customer and address.
- Adjustments: approved refunds and chargebacks become refunds, and come off again when they are reversed.
- Subscriptions, for MRR, plans, trials and cancellations, with recurring discounts taken off MRR.
- Customers, active and archived.
Paddle keeps no cancellation reasons, so cancellations arrive without one.
How Paddle is counted
- Amounts come from Paddle's payout totals, before tax, with Paddle's fee as the fee.
- Refunds and chargebacks count before tax. A chargeback Paddle wins, or a refund Paddle reverses, no longer counts.
- A chargeback fee Paddle keeps counts as a fee.
- A tax-inclusive price counts before tax in MRR, in the share of tax on the next bill.
- Recurring discounts come off MRR, also when the discount was archived later.
- A payment that could not be collected counts as a failed charge. It moves no money.
Recovery emails
Recover links each failed payment to Paddle's update-payment-method checkout. That needs transaction.write on the key; without it, the email links to your own update-card page.
