Recover failed payments

See every failed payment, and send reminder emails with a link to update the card.

Customers › Failed payments lists customers whose card failed in the last 60 days with nothing paid since: their plan, the amount, the number of tries and the provider's reason. Recovered and ended cases sit beside them.

The reminder emails

Recover sends up to three emails: 1, 3 and 7 days after the failure.

  1. Write. Describe your product and tone and let AI draft each email, or write them yourself. Drafts use merge fields RevGlance fills in when sending, and the model never sees a customer. A draft uses one Ask question; one that breaks the merge-field rules is refused and free.
  2. Preview. Owners and admins edit (each save is a new version) and preview with a real customer filled in.
  3. Approve. Only the owner approves, and only approved versions are ever sent.
  4. Send. Send to one customer by hand, or let the owner turn on the sequence. It sends at least two days apart and stops on a payment, a cancellation or an opt-out.

Every email is logged with its template version, approver, sender and outcome. A recovery counts for an email only when the payment came within 14 days of it. Each email has a one-click unsubscribe.

The link is made when the customer clicks it, so it is never stale:

ProviderWhere it goes
StripeThe open invoice page, or a customer portal session
PaddleAn update-payment-method checkout
Lemon SqueezyThe subscription's signed payment page
PolarA customer portal session
RecurlyThe customer's hosted account page
App Store, Google PlayThe store's subscriptions page (the store keeps the card)
GumroadThe membership's Manage page, after a sign-in email

When a provider call fails, the link falls back to your own update-card page. Some links need write permission on the key; each integration guide says which.

Privacy mode

Privacy mode keeps no email addresses. If the owner turns on sending in privacy mode, the address is asked of the provider at send time and never stored or logged. App Store, Google Play and Gumroad customers cannot be emailed in privacy mode.
