Ask and Show the math
Ask about your numbers in plain words, and see exactly how every figure was made.
Ask
Open Ask and type a question the way you would ask a colleague: "MRR by plan for the last six months", "churned customers in Germany last quarter", "how many trials converted in March". RevGlance answers with figures, a chart where it helps, and the record of how it got there.
How an answer is made
- An AI model reads your question into a metric, a range of months, filters and a split. It gets your question as you typed it and names from your data: metrics, plans, sources, countries and custom attributes. It gets custom attribute values only if you turned on Let AI read customer data for the business. It gets no customer records or amounts from your ledger. So avoid typing a customer’s details into a question.
- RevGlance checks every name against your data and says what it changed, for example a plan name it matched or a month it moved.
- RevGlance counts the figures with the same reports as the metric pages, so an answer always matches its page.
The model writes no numbers. Every figure comes from your ledger and opens Show the math with the answer's filters. A split says whether its parts add up to the whole.
What is kept
Each answer keeps its reading of the question, the query, how fresh the data was, the model, the tokens it used and who asked. Answers are shared with everyone in the business. Rate an answer to tell us how it did, or re-run it on today's data for free.
Questions and limits
| Plan | Questions a month |
|---|---|
| Licensed | 100 |
| Trial | 0 |
Packs of 100 more questions cost $9. Questions RevGlance cannot answer, failures and re-runs are free. In privacy mode attribute values stay out of what the model sees, whatever that setting says.
Why did this change?
Every metric page, every month on a chart and the ⓘ card of any figure opens Why. It splits a month's change by customer (started, paid more, paid less, stopped) and by business, source, plan, billing interval and country. The parts add up exactly, and each opens Show the math. Why uses no model and is free; a follow-up question goes to Ask and uses one question.
Show the math
Every figure in RevGlance links to Show the math:
- the formula as a tree, each part with its own value, down to the inputs;
- the rows behind it: the payments, refunds and subscriptions that make up the number;
- an export of those rows as CSV.
Use it to check a number against your provider, or to see which customers moved it.
